Attorney Dennis Will became the elected Lorain County Prosecutor on January 1, 2005 and in that time, has prosecuted cases that help keep our community safe- with a conviction rate of over 90%. He has led the prosecution of some of our area's toughest cases, from dangerous criminals to corrupt public officials and everything in between. Prosecutor Will’s background includes 25 years as an Elyria police officer, one year as a Lorain County Sheriff’s deputy, one year as the Sheffield Village Prosecutor, and 11 years as an Assistant Lorain County Prosecutor. Prosecutor Will is a veteran, serving four years in the United States Marine Corp., rising to the rank of Sergeant. He graduated from Elyria Catholic High School, Lorain County Community College, Heidelberg College, and received his Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University Marshall College of Law in 1986.
His office has an over 90% conviction rate and has successfully prosecuted rapists, murderers and drug offenders.
